'Toile de Jouy Baiser Noir V. 003' is still a variation. The idea of a pattern - the French Toile de Jouy - in its exploration through the infinite options of A.I. meet not only the hic-et-nunc human decision regarding the aesthetic outcome, but computer is forced to imagine other historical patterns using different and sometimes contrasting iconographies. A.I. 'collaboration' opens a new series focused on vanitas, skulls, flowers and men - being the process intrinsically connected to artificial intelligence itself and analogies with the practice of collage. Randomness is constantly counterbalanced by choice, human vs computer choice.

Romeo Madonna (London, 1987) is a collage artist based in Florence where he currently lives and works. A self-taught visual artist, collage - both digital and analog - represents his favorite means of expression, the investigative method of his research and the synthesis of the philosophy underlying his artistic practice. A film student at the Roma Tre University with the aim of becoming a screenwriter, he attended the Accademia di Belle Arti because he was obsessed with engraving and printing techniques. His professional experiences in the field of mixology and luxury retail contributed significantly to defining the traits and themes of his artistic identity, fusing a digital approach with traditional techniques. Visions of time, beauty, identity and death are recurring themes in his works.
