Tushar Jadhav is a contemporary abstract painter based in India, working primarily with acrylic on paper. His practice explores the intersection of gesture, geometry, and surface, resulting in compositions that balance raw mark-making with deliberate structural order. Across his work, Jadhav moves fluidly between monochrome intensity and restrained colour fields. Black and white compositions emphasize physical gesture and texture, where layered strokes, erasures, and pressure marks record the act of painting itself. In contrast, his colour works employ interlocking forms and simplified palettes, using red and yellow as emotive forces that establish rhythm, tension, and spatial depth. Structure plays a central role in his paintings—grids, fragmented planes, and repeated forms act as quiet frameworks within which spontaneity unfolds. Rather than fixed systems, these structures remain flexible, allowing disruption, imbalance, and human presence to emerge through surface variation and imperfect edges. Jadhav’s process is intuitive yet controlled. Acrylic paint is used not only for colour, but for its material qualities—opacity, layering, abrasion, and texture—making each work a record of time, movement, and decision. His paintings invite prolonged viewing, offering moments of intensity, pause, and silence within abstraction. Rooted in formal training in drawing and painting, Jadhav’s work reflects a deep sensitivity to composition, balance, and spatial relationships. Through abstraction, he creates visual spaces that resist narrative, encouraging viewers to experience structure as emotion and form as quiet contemplation.
