ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I cannot say I am in to hunting around in flea markets, but I was drawn to this one in Marrakesh by the promise of old wooden doors. Finding these warrior shields was such a bonus. Creating this digital manipulation in bold colouring was a thrill. You can feel the heat of Africa, hear the sound of beating drums and dark bodies with dancer's feet thumping the ground. Pattern and colour are of immense importance to me as an artist. Each print is printed on Photographic Quality matte paper with archival quality inks giving a Photo-lab result. All prints are printed edge to edge.
