2016- 07-04 Riding the Wild Beast (working title) Drawing

2016-07-04 Riding the Wild Beast (working title) is part of my series INKS / Essences. To learn more about this series, please visit the work 2016 -07-01. Up until I posted this piece on Saatchi Art, this piece was Untitled, the name "Riding the Wild Beast," just popped into my head while looking at it. Naming pieces can be difficult and sometimes takes the viewer in an unexpected interpretation. When I used to exhibit the INKS in galleries, I would not reveal that I was the artist, but just another person in the gallery. I would strike up a conversation about a piece and listen to what that person interpreted the piece to be. Many times a similar name or phrase would emerge.
