Her vibrant and dynamic art shows a trend towards Neoplasticism / Constructivism. A work that is notable for the implementation of two types of lines. The continuous ones, as the main element to create the figures that tell stories, and the vertical ones and/or diagonal, which together along with the chromatic interaction seek to convey the gradations of such stories. The fusion of perspectives, the rhythm, the transparencies, the balance, and the multicolored explosion, are another distinctiveness that we can find in her artistic expressions. The artist immerses herself in what she calls "The magical world of the possible," where experiences sprout and emotions seem to transmute when navigating between planes of parallel existence. Hence, the use of different techniques and particular processes such as acrylic on canvas, interventions with thread, construction with cut-painted-assembled paper, and the use of technology allows to show that constant line that creates stories. For Julia G Devia, the physical becomes spiritual and vice versa. Born in Caracas-Venezuela, she graduated as a Graphic Designer from the José María Vargas University. The need to express her emotions and her vision of the world led her to become a Plastic Artist. It is through art that she reveals her love of beauty, optimism, neatness, and hope. In her work, the influence of Venezuelan artists such as Cruz Diez, Jesús Soto, Jorge Blanco, and Leopoldo Wallis is perceived. Since she was little, she had the pleasure of spending long hours observing the work of Leopoldo Wallis, and enjoyed listening to his stories about the importance of harmony in color. For Julia G Devia, it was a privilege and an honor to have had this artist as a neighbor, whom she considers her “artistic father.”
