"A Prayer for Oneness" explores the disempowerment created through violence, neglect, and lies of the American government towards the American people and beyond. It aims to remind individuals of the power given to them by birthright, validate all of our anger and disgust at the authorities, and reignite the passion to fight back by letting people know they are not alone or wrong in feeling their rage, confusion, or sadness. I have always found connection, knowing one is not alone and valid in what they are feeling, is the greatest source of empowerment when nothing else seems to make sense or be helpful. So this is my prayer for whoever might agree.

Jillian Adel is a Los Angeles based artist that explores the transformative nature of relationships through texture and language. Her fine art practice explores alchemy and the redefinition of shadow and light, and seeks to empower and tether artists and healers who come from personal and collective experiences of harm through radical self reflection. Her work spans ceramic, glass, textiles and drawing/painting and explores themes of quantum science, ancestral exploration, the esoteric and intimate narrative. Her mission is to be in Radical Observation with the world around us, to engage with primal—often shadowed—themes, and to connect through the complex, intimate corners of our hearts.
