"AWAKENING IN DARKNESS" Drawing

My name is Ngbede Nobleman, and I am a visual artist from Benue State, Nigeria. I create paintings and drawings, which I have termed Organic Expressions, as they come from a very deep place within me, nature, the people around me, and the experiences that have shaped me to be who I am. I began my artistic journey at an early age with my older brother being the driving force. He was an enthusiast of drawing, and while he never did manage to follow his dream to any great extent, the passion kindled in me has never faded. He gave me my first set of pencils, and with those, I began to probe, experiment, and learn on my own. Those early years were full of experimentation and trial, yes, but they were also filled with learning and joy. Art evolved from it being a hobby, it became a language that I could convey even when there were no words anymore. It has been a lonely journey sometimes, but the love for the craft has always kept me going. My style is Organic Expression because it evolves naturally from within uncompromising, pure, and inspired by life itself. I work both in drawing and painting. For drawings, I use charcoal pencils, powder, paper, and dry brushes to create softness, contrast, and emotive texture. For paintings, I use oil and acrylic paints on canvas, which allow me to work in bold colors and layered narratives. I find Renaissance paintings attractive as well their specificity, form, and rich emotion that continues to inspire me. My ultimate dream is to create art that speaks , art that communicates messages, gives rise to thoughts, and inspires people from various cultures. My dream is for my work to be instantly recognizable and have a signature voice that distinguishes it. My fantasy is to become a well-known and well-respected artist, sharing my talent with the world and leaving a worthwhile imprint in my art.
