I've been fascinated by the bisons for some years now. It's their mighty exterior and inner force that really captivate me. Them, done by charcoal, they transport us to the very origins of the human civilization when a hunter-caveman used to share their vision of galloping buffalos on a cave wall.

Polina Akh (1994) lives and works in Prague, Czech Republic. She Studied stage design and costumes for theater and movies at the Prague Academy of Performing arts. In 2015, she visited the homeland of bison in North America and was very inspired by these powerful creatures, which is reflected in many of her works. Many of her works have found their place in private collections around the world.
