About The Artwork

These works were inspired by contemporary drawing interests and by many modern masters in abstract drawing. I enjoy the works of Phillip Guston and Oscar Kokoschka for instance. I paint and draw directly. Here I used mostly FaberCastell Marker pens on a re-purposed xerox film of polyester. The xerox transparencies were made to be receptive to ink. Xerox film is a durable material and measures 8 1/2 x 11". This custom framed white stock is Larson-Juhls made. The film is mounted upon a matte cut to the size of the drawing to give some extra focus and separation from the frame matte of support. The outer dimensions of the frame are 14 1/8' x 16 5/8" w. White archival matte board and UV glass encase the work.
