Dakosaurus is an extinct marine crocodile of the Jurassic Period, which researchers informally nicknamed "Godzilla". Crock City is influenced by this and furthermore what it stands to represent; humanity’s twisted fascination and fear of a destructive monster, one so great as to annihilate whole societies indiscriminately.
