Self taught multidisciplinary artist. I paint, draw, write, illustrate, design and weld. My favorite medium is ink. I love it’s duality, so fluid and uncontrollable, and at the same time so permanent and concrete. I use a mix of mediums including, graphite, ink, oil pastel, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, and digital. I am inspired by the urban and natural landscapes. Shapes, textures and underlying emotions in the visual story are essential to me. I create with color but to me, black and white provides more clarity. I vacillate between the minimalistic and the very detailed. Profound simplicity or Intricate thought. The New York School Era are my greatest influences, especially Franz Kline and Mark Rothko. I continue to challenge myself to explore and try new mediums and styles constantly.
