ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Not so long ago I've decided to continue drawing swords, as there are so many different kinds of them. This one was made of bronze, in the times of the eastern zhou dynasty, China. The handle was a real challange, as it took me some time to draw it properly, as i was afraid to make mistakes. It made me think about how people use their power, and how the should do it. It's easy to hurt someone ( with your words, or actions). The hard part is when you have the power to do something bad, but chose not to. And in order to prove a point, or to make a statement, it is better to take actions more carefully. This swords's handle ( for me personally) speaks about the long road that your mind makes, before making your first move, if you even decide to make it.

Hello, my name is Patricia Sorin (Tracey Cky is my nickname). I am 28, live in Moldova, Chisinau. I've finished our local Academy of arts in 2019. There I studied oil painting and mural painting. (I've worked for a while painting churches in Romania and Moldova). Right now I work as a decorator at a theater, and write novels. I try to combine painting and writing in my works. I have a few ideas that I am currently working on, but it takes time. I often struggle with art blocks, but it's more because of my way of making art. I prefer to create the concept fully in my imagination, and only when I am sure of what I want to do, I start drawing and painting. I use all kinds of mediums, oil colors, tempera, charcoal, graphite, pastel colors. Ink has a special place in my heart. During these 4 years since I finished the art academy, I've created a lot of things ( art, and not only) but I feel that I need more free time to paint for myself, which is quite a problem.
