ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I’m drawing to cope with depression. This piece is my attempt to turn the sorrow and darkness within me into light and share it with others. It depicts my inner state of tenderness, hidden beneath the layer of thorns. Another interpretation of this artwork that deeply touched me is the theme of infertility. A woman’s dream of motherhood seems to pierce her from the inside.
