Hi, I'm Flavio Furlan an Italian illustrator artist based in Conegliano / Treviso. I had a technical education and in 1999 I graduated as a mechanical expert. It was in this period that for education first and then for work I became passionate about technical drawing and freehand sketches. When I started working, in fact, I always held roles of technical designer and ... when I arrived in a company that operated in the furniture sector I had the opportunity to give my "hand" free rein by designing / creating new profiles / lines that they would then be poured into the most famous kitchens in Italy. Since work took up a lot of my time and filled me with tensions and responsibilities, it was only around the age of 35 that I started scribbling even at home, in the beginning as a "relief valve" ... to relax. Picking up a pen (a marker) and starting to draw lines and curves without deadlines was in fact for me a phase of detachment from the hectic life and at the same time an isolation that led me to be alone with myself and my imagination. The result of this therefore were works that I identified as "LIFE DIARY ART", works born impulsively but at the same time full of meanings / memories: in fact the first time .. slowly I saw a summary picture of my life appear. and at the same time I started seeing a style / design that I had never seen anywhere else. My main style therefore proposes "life diaries" because by interpreting all the sketches, silhouettes, shapes included within the drawing, one can intuit the passions, memories, events and dear things that I wanted to represent. “Reading a personal diary” I can therefore represent anyone's past in a painting. Over time I let myself be influenced and captured by the artistic colors of Jean Michel Basquiat, Robert Combas, Keith Haring and also Jean Dubuffet; simultaneously then I started to create other representations and hence the two projects: TWOFI and MADE WITH HEART, as well as various “sketches” produced for pure pleasure. Twofi is the most acidic person on earth, the angry one par excellence, the I in person; that with his way of thinking and seeing things he can amuse the reader. Made With Heart is a project, with which clothing items that depict the works have already been produced, which only refers to the shape of hearts in various representations / textures.C
