A few years ago I started out testing 'How Much Ink Does A Marker Contain?', a series that sold out completely in the first show. That series started by me, sitting down at my kitchen table, unsure what to draw and filling in a page completely with a black marker. Along the way I started wondering how much ink it contained. After testing over one hundred markers, I decided to go back to the basis, and made the concept even more simple: fill one page with one color. By doing so, a pattern / texture naturally emerges. A collaboration between my intuition, the color, the paper, the ambient sounds or music that might be on at that moment. One might see animals dancing, clouds floating by or landscapes as seen from an airplane. However it is enjoyed, the core belief behind this series is that anyone can enjoy making art and being creative.
