Encima (On The Top) Drawing

This drawing is inspired by the nature where I live in Southern Spain at 1000 m. above sea level. Situated between Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranian sea where the view over the steep hills covered in almond trees to the Rif mountains in Marocco is stunning. When I draw while facing this unbelieveable landscape, I drift into my inner landscapes, meditation. A blend of "real" and inner nature where things are moving and many things are to be seen for the one who takes a break to look. There might be meditation, fairytale and creatures, or your eyes might see hidden patterns. I use ink because it is compromising. A line of ink is there forever with all it's consequences, often surprisingly fun. The paper is Strathmore Bristol smooth surface (400 Series - Best)
