This is a very tactile drawing made from extruded black latex that rises above the surface of the paper. Each intersection of lines has been delicately molded, resulting in irregular traces of the artist's fingerprints. Eric von Robertson’s ‘Extrusion’ series conveys both modern and archaic sensibilities. This series of drawings are about future artifacts — the extension of the hand into the world and the implicit relationship between drawing and sculpture.
