About The Artwork
I was initially inspired to draw birds when a family of magpies started visiting me. Stefan was first, and is still my main muse, he later bought his daughter Lily, who this year presented us with a very demanding Carl. I live in a leafy area and am often visited by crows, cockatoos, rainbow lorikeets, blue faced honey eaters and a fiesty brush turkey called Tina. As to the cardboard, I love finding surfaces and objects that are unusal and deemed to be at the end of their lives. I have drawn on teabags, dominoes, hubcaps and bin lids just to name a few.
