ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The series Forms of memory is based on translation of memory into visual forms. Tensions, thoughts, feelings, they all have their place in our bodies - the process of drawing and printmaking is a way of giving them a form and a life. I discovered this unique technique (lithography on polyester) while visiting exhibitions and shops in Paris. It's based on an instinctive drawing on polyester and then printed with lithography ink, on a regular press. The prints have been made out of many layers, it's therefore a very unique print (edition of 4). Paper format: 36 x 46 cm Print format: 30 x 40 cm I am selling these in a white frame with a glass without a passe-partout. The prints are signed and numeroted by me.

Marta Skoczeń (born in 1994 in Łódź, Poland) is a visual artist working with video, film, photography and drawing. She currently lives and works in Paris, France. She graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2020 (Clément Cogitore studio) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2019 (Graphic Art). In her work, she mainly focuses on femininity, memory, and the meeting of past and present, navigating between the field of visual art, cinema and fashion. Her work has been shown at numerous international exhibitions (2022 – Terra Mater, curator: Marilou Thirache, Galerie 7 rue de Paradis, Paris), film festivals (2021 – VASTLAB Experimental, Los Angeles) and art fairs (2022 – LOOP FAIR Barcelona, with Galerie Dohyang Lee, Paris). She has won the Loop Fair Acquisition Award and her video work "House Without a Key" is part of numerous collections (Loop Fair / Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, Collection Lemaitre).
