Dragan Hajrović was born on 1970 in Zrenjanin, Serbia. He is a full-time professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (Serbia) with drawing as his area of expertise. Doctorate at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, study group for Painting. He is a member of ULUS (Union of Fine Artists of Serbia) since 1996 and member of the Graphic Collective since 2000. He exhibited at 20 individual exhibitions and at over 70 collective exhibitions in the country and region. He also participated widely in important art colonies. He has won several awards for his professional work. My research is directed at examining space-time relationships and possible ways of contextualizing them in a work of art in order to create a new space of meaning, an open work of art that requires the viewers to participate, and which opens up a field of possibilities for interpretation with its meaningful suggestions. I base my research and acrt creation process on different approaches and procedures of decontextualization, decomposition, stratification of different meaning and visual structures, procedures of putting them in relation, their networking and re-contextualization in order to create a different meaning, a new meaning, which is amplified and upgraded. My areas of expertise lie in the medium of drawing, painting, object, installation. The works of Dragan Hajrović are represented in collections of public importance: "Cabinet of Small Drawings" - Collection of drawings by professors of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Collection of the International Biennale of Miniature Art - Cultural Center Gornji Milanovac, Collection of Art Colony Ečka - Contemporary Gallery Zrenjanin (paintings), Art collection of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad (paintings).
