About The Artwork
This drawing is derived from a meditation on the Canna Lily plant in my yard. The leaves are designed after the way the stomata cells look on the Canna Lily leaves, the background is what the Canna Lily flower petals look like under the microscope, the animated seed pod is an isomorphological rendition of the Canna Lilies strange looking seed pods. It is not a collage, it is entirely hand-drawn on a single sheet of archival paper.
