Le Jour Où J'ai Compris le Chant des Oiseaux Drawing

Tejas Melnik is an artist currently working as a free-lance illustrator and photographer. Both her illustrative and photographic work depict very colorful expressionistic scenes in which the line between reality and fantasy is blurred. The interaction between what is perceived by the subject, referred as "the inside world", and the objective reality, that is "the outside world", is of major importance in all of her work. Her introduction of many symbolic elements throughout the images also gives them a somewhat mystical and esoteric look. "The seat of the soul is where the inner world and the outer world meet. Where they overlap, it is in every point of the overlap."
