Lost Knight Drawing

"Lost Knight" is my second major artwork, It took me over 130 hours to create the piece, and I used equipment that I had never used before, it was the first time I ventured into the world of dip pen. With my limited skillset, I question myself "How can I make my drawings beautiful?” After almost 2 weeks of practicing and designing, I'm finally ready to draw. I sketched it as carefully as possible. Then everything proceeded as usual until the time to apply the ink. Fear engulfed me almost every time I put pen to paper. But after using the pen for a while. Fear turned to understanding, the excitement became familiar. Despite my dedicated practice, using the pen presented its challenges. Mistakes were inevitable, and some unforeseen issues arose, that hadn't surfaced during my training. Each mistake became a learning opportunity, pushing me to find solutions and refine my technique. As the situation of the Lost Knight moved forward gradually, my family and I still took care of Grandma closely as we have always done. The developmental changes of the "Lost Knight", the illness and aging that Grandma is experiencing. It made me understand life more. Everything has a beginning, middle, and end, arranged simply. From one point to another. However, sometimes in life, we may need courage to step out of our comfort zones. To move to the next goal, we must have the courage to let go of something and dare to seize something. Accept the consequences of those choices and actions regardless of whether the results are good or bad. Learn and find lessons from them. Through the creation of "Lost Knight," I realized that life is rarely easy. Challenges and difficulties are inevitable. But within each of us lies a spark of courage, you may have forgotten about it, but trust me it's still somewhere in your heart. You have to find or rebuild it again, Like I can.
