A lot of people ask me how my style began and how I got into drawing, this all began when I was 14 years old and after going through 2 of my last major eye operations to correct my sight cosmetically at Moorfields in London which left me with chronic double vision (which I still suffer from today almost 38 years later) I somehow developed a renewed passion for drawing in order to pass and spend my recovery time. You could say this was a Spiderman / Peter Parker moment because I noticed that my new invigorated style and passion had dramatically increased / improved and changed and I was almost able to replicate images through black and white which I wasn’t able to do before my operations. Since then and through working with the style on an off throughout my career I have been able to refine and hone this skill further specialising in aviation themed work. I specialise in highly detailed black and white pencil drawings not just in aviation or military themed work but in all subjects as well as adding a splash of colour using colour pencils. My speciality is aviation but my style is well developed with over 35 years' experience and I can illustrate / draw anything a client / customer wishes or desires. My greatest accolades is being made an associate member of the Guild of Aviation Artists in the UK having had eight successful submissions in the London Mall Galleries since 2011 including online in 2020 and 2021 for the Guilds annual national exhibitions. My work was also showcased at the Jersey Arts Trust Projection Gallery for Remembrance Day in November 2015. In addition I was also awarded the Artist of the Year for 2015 by the Society & Living UK Lifestyle Magazine in recognition of my artwork. I have also had various exhibitions at Jersey Airport in their departures hall and at the Jersey Museum and more recently in May 2021 I presented my artwork to the Lt. Governor of Jersey Sir Stephen and Lady Dalton at the Alliance Club in Jersey which was well received. I also have work on display at the Harbour Gallery in Jersey.
