Golyanovo is the name of the district of Moscow where I have lived for the last 5 years. This is a common sleeper cell. For me, as for an artist who is often inspired by the disgusting, this is just a wonderful place.

Golyanovo within the framework of this series is the image of Russia with which terrible things are happening nowadays.

About the 'November':

I began this series of graphic artworks in November of 2019. I named this series so not only because it was November. The fact is that November in Russia is a rather difficult and depressive month, autumn finally turns into winter, prolonged icy rains with snow, cloudy days.

Thus, I wanted to express my gloomy thoughts of foreboding. As it turned out in March of the same year, these premonitions were quite true.

*The artwork is drawn on paper and needs a mat and frame.

My name is Natalia Andrushaewa. I am an artist. I was lucky and realized in early childhood that drawing is the main way of expressing my thoughts, so I have been doing this for about my whole life. Experts define my style as dark surrealism, but I consider myself a symbolist. I draw inspiration from Death, lucid dreams, mythology and vintage photos.
