Gyula Sági is a Berlin-based contemporary artist whose work explores the point where abstract mark-making meets scientific structure. Each drawing and painting is constructed through systematic, hand-driven gestures that build into rhythmical surfaces, echoing seismic waves, sound frequencies, or geologic strata. Working primarily with ink and acrylic on paper and canvas, Sági transforms repetition into energy. The works are meticulously executed—often through thousands of individual lines—which results in surfaces that feel both precise and organic. The tension between control and unpredictability is central: variations in pressure, movement, and time introduce subtle “errors” that become the emotional core of the image. Collectors describe the works as meditative, architectural, and visually immersive. They function equally well as statement pieces or quietly elegant anchors in minimalist interiors, and appeal to collectors drawn to optical abstraction, data-inspired art, and contemporary drawing. Sági's works have been exhibited across Europe, including Berlin, Budapest, Brussels, and Paris, and many of the pieces offered here come directly from recent series created during international artist residencies.
