Anna Pennati’s oracles interact with the spectator who can watch, listen and then question to try to get answers to his doubts. Anna’s oracle as monumental installations, is an image that activates the potential of a place as an intermediary between a “higher knowledge” and the innate human need to “know”. Art which transcends towards a concept of metaphysics not only theoretical and nominal, but substantial and real, just because purely metaphysical.
The origin of the oracles is very old and can be traced back to the second millennium BC. The most famous is certainly the one of Delphi, but all cultures of the world have relation with the oracles that were sometimes identi ed with people, other with objects or places.
Anna Pennati’s artworks dedicated to oracles brings together these three aspects, creating anthropomorphic images, which must be realized, however, in large areas, from the walls of a building, to big squares, up to entire hills.
Anna Pennati’s oracles interact with the spectator who can watch, listen and then question to try to get answers to his doubts.

“My artistic research is constantly evolving. The sign and the color alternate in the roles of protagonist and express themselves on the white stage of my canvas. Sometimes the sign prevails, it’s sharp, strong, as in my oracles. Other times it is the color to take over, as in the exhibition dedicated to the myths and held in London at the Artspace Gallery in Mayfair. In my paintings about dance the balance is perfect, reflecting the needs of movement and plasticity of the subjects. My artworks ranges from one topic to another, using each time the appropriate medium and style, following a path which is the sign of an important international artist, as testified by the 25 year career and the over 50 exhibitions. I live and work in Milan. Graduated at the Accademia di Brera and count among my collectors Valery Giscard d’Estaing, former French President, a man of refined culture, who bought one of the portraits that I've dedicated to him.
