About The Artwork

"Magda: The Farewell To Adam" is an ink sketch artwork which belongs to the series "Pomegranate Queen", inspired by my recent psychotherapeutic journey back in time to my adolescent years. Consequentially, I have decided to use my poems from the same time period for these art pieces. Magda was enthralled with her man. He was a guru for her in all senses. She put him on a pedestal and wanted nothing less than to be at his feet. When he moves on from her life, she puts on the chains of his teachings and bravely and selflessly carries them forward alone. However, the shadow side of her never stops grieving about the man she loved. This artwork was inspired by the story of Adam and Maria Magdalena and the scenes of Jerusalem. (C) 2000 TRANSLATED POETRY (ENGLISH) We fell in love in October When Indian summer is departing And the fragile soul of the poet Is sheltered in a leafy carpet. We are both the orphans of rain ... Do you remember when the thunder of heaven Bathed us in a wonderful haze and joked with what’s forsaken? We ran away to each other ... We played hide and seek with feelings. Offended, and then forgiving Love staggered the heat and the blizzard. October again knocks on the window ... We both with others have proven That happiness won’t stay a widow. What a pity ... It was like a movie! (C) 2000 *** All original paintings include a certificate of authentication and a piece of original and translated poetry with an autograph attached to the back of the painting.

Elena Emma's unique painting and writing style exudes infinite inner depth and freedom. All of her paintings, completed with an illustrative playful touch, have a piece of unique, immensely deep poetry dedicated to them, contrasting the complexity of adult-like subjects with child-like strokes. As a diverse writer, emerging artist, startup consultant and entrepreneur, a professor, a mother of two boys, and a passionate, curious, and spiritual woman, Elena draws her inspiration from experiential fearlessness, deep observational analysis, continuous soul searching, and never-ending internal and external growth. Her visual and written stories, often told from a female perspective, concentrate on exploring the larger picture in business, love, and being. They stimulate the reader and the viewer with open-ended questions and strong encouragement to find his or her own truth. Her characters and situations are multi-dimensional, and through them, she often challenges widely-accepted designations of personal and professional, new and old, right and wrong, good and bad, blurring the preset differences between these terms, and offering new definitions. Elena is the authentic "voice" of her generation, of those born in the 1980s and 1990s to a world of distorted physical, geographical, and moral boundaries, who are yet to find balance between the inborn inner wisdom and cynical dissonance of outside happenings. Be it fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or paintings, Elena Emma's artwork will leave you mildly teary-eyed and contemplative about your own daily existence and the changes you can make to it. THE SKY IS NO LIMIT.
