Hi there! My name is, John Dingle, and I’m a portrait artist. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, I was raised in a rural part of Summerton. I remember helping my grandfather feed his hogs and chickens, sweeping an old wooden porch, hand-picked straw brooms. Grandma always said, ‘No TV until you get your lesson!’ Upon graduating from Scott’s Branch High School, I furthered my education at the University of South Carolina. There, I’ve been fortunate to obtain an Associate in Arts degree. Since then, I’ve been apart of Sumter County Gallery of Art Artist Guild. On my journey I’ve become fond of how parents are around their children. My inspiration can vary, from a child learning to ride a bike, cuddled up next to dad, or going fishing. Days like these has made me a portrait artist; majority of my work portraying family in a photorealism, figurative style. Thank you for visiting my page.
