Rural Scenes I (After the Dream) is drawn in silverpoint on a lightly toned prepared ground - a deliberate choice to echo the softness of memory and evoke early photographic processes. I am a multidisciplinary artist working across drawing, sculpture, and printmaking. Rooted in rural working-class heritage, I create pieces that explore folklore, withheld ancestry, and the interconnection between land, memory, and the more-than-human world. My practice often uses natural and elemental materials, chosen for their tactility and symbolic resonance. I am interested in ritual, inheritance, and the stories we carry silently: those passed down, those hidden, and those erased. In 2025, I completed my postgraduate degree at the Royal College of Art, and have since been developing immersive, participatory installations that invite reflection, creation, and connection. My work frequently invites others to contribute - through drawing, storytelling, mark-making - and aims to create space for new communal mythologies to emerge. I am currently based in Glasgow, Scotland.
