Mythical creatures from Scottish and Irish folklore (in Ireland they are called roans), sea people, beautiful seal people.

Outwardly they look like seals with brown eyes. Kind, gentle and graceful. Seal skins allow them to live in the sea, but they have to surface from time to time to take a breath. According to some sources, silks are the descendants of people exiled to the sea for their misdeeds. That is why they are so drawn to dry land. They can come out of the water once every 9 nights. Coming out of the water, they shed their seal skin and take on human form, turning, according to stories, into dark-haired girls or boys. The one who finds the skin discarded from the silk can force the silk to marry. Children from such marriages are born with membranes between the toes and have healing powers. But such a marriage, as in the case of mermaids, often does not last very long.

In this work, I depicted the moment of parting with the land.
