I am a 82 year old artist who lives on Vancouver Island. I was born in Toronto on December 26, 1933. As well I am an established Canadian poet. I have illustrated my own poetry books. I am inspired by Blake and my influences are varied, as my work tends toward the abstract expressionist New York school of the fifties, although my work is divided between the figurative and the non objective. My paintings are based on the mythic Peaceable Kingdom; my creatures have human attributes but on a much higher moral plain. Call it anthropomorphism by paint. My paintings are poems by other means.
