No two pieces will be the same. Each one is unique and original and created by myself. Limited edition Style & techniques: This intricate design is made from premium veg tan leather, which has been oiled and dyed with natural oils to a natural pale tan colour. The design combines tattoo inspired themes, focused around the central skull & moth. The piece mixes stylised natural and geometric forms into a symmetrical pattern/design. It includes images of roses, birds, clouds and crosses. A sacred heart (with flames) can be seen coming out of a cross, at the top of the piece. The majority of the design is tattooed using only 1 needle & a traditional tattoo machine (with some stronger lines and sections to create depth), therefore the line-work is both detailed and labour intensive. The line-work is brought out by tooling with leatherworking tools, creating depth within the design. Sections of the design are embossed, so that the surface is raised. This is particularly seen within the skull and moth. The edges of the leather have been dyed Black and burnished to a smooth finish. Variations: The leather may deepen in colour, as it reacts to UV light. There may be natural markings on the grain of the skin (which is brought out with the use of natural dyes) The photographs have been taken in natural daylight. The colour of the leather may differ in other light sources. Generally, each item is made to order and as such may differ slightly in appearance to the one seen here.
