About The Artwork
This work is one within a series of pieces that represents the presence of some sort of entity that is always watching over us. Whether it be a being or concept such as fate, it maintains a certain cosmic order in the world. I used ink pulls with string to set preliminary marks, and use the chance of mark-making to represent this entity. After allowing the material to freely flow on the canvas, i use charcoal and graphite to solidify forms and details.
