Sun rising like a "Phoenix" from the ashes Drawing

In the midst of writing and studying in the year 2011, I began to de-stress through ART and that is exactly what inspired this sketch. It was a difficult stretch to complete a final thesis, and the feeling of completing this sketch, as described in the title, gave me the feeling of rising from the ashes like a phoenix. The sun became an important element because of the numerous sunrises I saw as an undergrad senior struggling with writing till dawn. I'm able to put it up for sale after 6 years, only because it has been my most cherished and meaningful piece. This is in the hope that it will encourage my fellow friends around the world to fight their challenges with courage! It is completely done using a black pen, without any tracing in pencil, on a white cartridge sheet of paper. (The reason I don't use pencil is so that previous mistakes can be used as a creative element to make something better)
