Sometimes, a piece could look simple. In essence, I spent a week pondering where to fill and not fill the spaces. At one point, I almost thought I lost this one because black was applied too abruptly, leaving not enough space to breathe.

Life has been interesting when I finally found some use of this particular pattern of gold leaf which I purchased 9 years ago. I believe it is all in the planning and waiting, like people we are bound to meet and have not met as yet. When we finally greet each other, we know that it is the right time.

Welcome to the Archive Collection: The Roots of Innovation Every artist’s journey is marked by pivotal moments—works that serve as both steppingstones and silent witnesses to creative transformation. This curated selection of my earlier pieces represents the essential foundation from which my current explorations in Automaticism and Asemic writing have emerged. These works are not simply “early attempts”; they are authentic, original expressions that capture the raw energy, curiosity, and experimentation of my formative years. For collectors and art lovers, these pieces offer a rare opportunity: to own a part of the story, to witness the evolution of style and concept firsthand. Much like vintage records or classic cars, these works possess a unique charm and historical significance. They embody the spirit of discovery and the less-refined, yet deeply honest, sensibility of youth—qualities that many seasoned collectors actively seek. Why Collect Early Works? Historical Value: Early pieces often become more sought-after as an artist’s reputation grows. They provide context and depth to a collection, offering insight into the creative process and evolution. Authenticity: These works are as genuine and original as my latest creations, each one a testament to the journey rather than just the destination. Investment Potential: As my style has matured and gained recognition, these foundational works have become increasingly rare making them a smart addition for collectors who appreciate both art and its provenance. Personal Connection: Many collectors find a special resonance in the “less sophisticated” energy of early works, seeing echoes of the artist’s later voice and vision. Whether you are drawn to the nostalgia of a developing style, the allure of owning a “classic,” or the excitement of investing in a piece of artistic history, this collection invites you to become part of the ongoing story. Each work is a bridge between past and present—a reminder that without these beginnings, the brilliance of the new could not shine as brightly. Join me in celebrating the roots of innovation. Discover, collect, and own a piece of the legendary L'automatisme journey.
