ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Abstract drawing "The Flora III" from the series "Three Islands". Inspired by three different islands that I visited: Japanese Hokkaido, Norwegian Haramsoya and Greek Crete. Classic approach to drawing inspired a bit by Japanese drawing and woodcut. The drawing is made with a brush and ink (witch flat ecocline colour) on approximately 40 year old Fabriano paper, slightly yellowed with age, which gives the drawing a seasoned feel. Signed, stamped.
