ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece is part of a new series I am working on called "Prophecy." The design of this piece shows scribbles of lines as a metaphor for negative belief systems that jumble in our heads creating stress, faulty perceptions, and otherwise restlessness. "The Sinner" is a snapshot of what dysfunction looks like as line art inside the mind and heart. The hopeful part of lines is while confused in many moments, one can smooth the lines with therapeutic practice. I created this image on 140-pound with red, blue, green, and black 3.0 mm markers.

There is a dualistic quality dancing in her work; a coupling of opposites showcasing human darkness and healing. She uses her creative practice as a therapeutic outlet for early childhood trauma. Andrea also works as Clinical Mental Health Counselor and advocate for trauma survivors.
