Drawing: Ink, Marker on Paper.
Alexander Jowett's Horizon Line series of subtle line drawings is a typology of sorts that follows from Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and his theories on the line and the space between. These contemplative works are done in a kneeling, meditative position, where the lines are slowly drawn out one at a time. Slowly drawing out the sea and sky in a meditative process will hopefully allow the viewer that same sense of contemplation that can be had by sitting at the Ocean's edge and meditating on the horizon.
