About The Artwork

It was a really hot day during May at Tarifa - the most southern spot in Europe, which is the City of Tarifa, Andalucia, Spain. This city is a unique mixture of ancient Arab influences and European culture in one place. This is the spot where the Atlantic ocean meets the Mediterranean sea and is a magnet for surfers, kite riders, and all kinds of free people. The momentum of this picture is during lunchtime when it was hard to find shadows and the sun was straight above us. Not so many people out in the hot city at that moment, but I still remember the smell of marijuana at some corners and the hidden bars and coffees in the old city's small pavement streets. © The artist retains all copyrights to his artworks. In my creative path, the beginning was just drawing. Then the animation cinema, and finally the interactive media. The variety of creative fields I have been into is probably the reason to conclude today that my works have two main aspects, two driving factors - one is telling stories and the other one is the challenge of visual development and experiment with the media and the materials I use. Two things that I like to play with. I have spent many years in the gaming sector in different roles, including being a Creative Director for innovative U.S company from Las Vegas. With a background of hundreds of successfully completed projects for internationally recognized AAA clients, I have always known that someday I will get back to fine arts as an independent artist. But year after year spent in the commercial projects with tight deadlines my wish to create art was always somewhere at the end of my to-do list and didn't happen. Until 2020. The unexpected world events of this crazy year and the Las Vegas lockdown just helped me to get some brake, to have some more free time, including for my family and for doing Art. There are so many stories to tell and so many ideas in my head to experiment with different media, so I just can't wait to get a new blank paper today and see that magic happen.
