The inspiration of this artwork has its roots in the chaos and anxiety caused by the everyday. The creation of this piece was a method of calming those anxieties. With nomadism in my blood, I identify as a Citizen of Nowhere, currently working from my home studio in Cape Town. My work is a fusion of minimalist abstraction, raw industrial elements, and dual perceptions—each piece an exploration of both my perspective and yours. Inspired by everyday life, spontaneous sketches, and a childlike joie de vivre, my art captures the essence of the overlooked and the ordinary. My creative journey began in South Africa, where I studied Communication Design and Art History at Rhodes University. With over six years of experience in digital graphic design, I mix illustration, inks, and monotype prints with photography, digital art, brand design, and murals. The process of deconstruction and reconstruction is at the heart of my work, challenging me to see beyond the conspicuous and make sense—or not—of each subject. Whether crafting digital masterpieces, designing brands, or brainstorming new visual storytelling adventures, my goal is to provoke thought and evoke balance between subtlety and boldness. Inspired by Pollock, Escher, and The Process, I strive to turn fresh, practical ideas into tangible works that resonate deeply.
