Tugs & Docks in pen on paper Drawing

Pen on paper is great material to me. I come from medical & biological illustration, so I'm used to the thought, that a drawing is a tool for something else. Now I like to understand drawings as a possibility of our brain to process the world and I'm intensely touched by the human effort, to understand what we see. There are many methods - art is one of them. As I choose simple material I'm intrigued by basic subjects. Working tugboats are so rudimentary and the work on them so straight forward mechanical skill, that the whole aura surrounding tugs & barges & docks & engeneers is to me like a plain green field where I feel, I can actually take a deep breath. Though I'm not the one who could take care of the engine room - mysteries to me
