"annelunda - Vision & Acceptance - framed" Drawing

Anne Furk is a self-taught artist rooted in the principles of transcendentalist art, giving expression to her intuition and innate experience of the moment through drawing. Being intrigued by the concept of simplicity as a tool to create dynamic, contrast and aesthetic appeal – as well as believing that simplicity is an important antidote to our world of breathtaking speed and complexity – she both finds and gifts calm through her art. Embedded in stillness, her drawings emerge through intuitive spontaneity, playfulness and being fully embodied in the moment. Ink corresponds perfectly to her form of expression - being both capable of translating her fast and spontaneous impulses as well as precise detail work. She primarily draws on Japanese paper, but also experiments with drawing on biodegradable masses, found objects, canvases and walls. She is currently working in two different series – ‘annelunda’ and ‘Wesen’. ‘annelunda’ is an absolute minimal expression playing with dynamic and equilibrium. These drawings create a dance between black and white, precision and impulse, contrast and harmony. They work both in small formats and wall-sized pieces. ‘Wesen’ are lightweight, dynamic beings, carrying an ethereal essence of movement and a carefully crafted harmony/contrast. They are deliberately drawn in small format to preserve their delicate nature and draw in close attention. After having kept her drawings to herself/close humans for years, she feels it’s time to share them now - this chaotic world can do with some more simplicity and calm… The starting point was marked with exhibitions at the 'Finder&Keepers Artfare' in Copenhagen (February 2026) and at the ‘Juried Spring Exhibition’ at Svanekegaarden/Bornholm in March/April 2026. The first drawings are now living in Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Japan. ……. Anne Furk was born in Germany in 1982. After her fashion design studies in Mönchengladbach and several years collecting practical experience in New Zealand and Australia, she settled and created interactive design, word art and cultural activism in Hamburg from 2008-2013. In 2014, after becoming a mother, she left her lively Hamburg life behind to move to remote nature in Scandinavia. Four boys joined the family and since 2021 the family chose home on the Baltic Island of Bornholm, Denmark, where they are creating a cultural center to support artistic families and a cocreation community.
