The inspiration is all abouth light and dark, what do we see in our surrounding outdoor space, which motion I can bring as a visual aspect of the materials I use and how can I show my lines as a grid in the most perfect abstract surface. In my paperworks I cut into the toplayer and remove it after the painted ink, so the second layer suprised me how the result would be. Constructive in building but on expressionist way acted in the worker proces where chance is going to play a role. In that sense my paintings and drawings show that I am fascinated by the basics of it, line, form and rhythm give me the space to use this exploit without anecdotes.

René van den Bos (1959) born in Amsterdam. He started as a graphic artist at an advertising agency, as a designer he made trade magazines and magazines on the drawing board. The flat plane was later converted into view from its functional text. His interest in the painting grew ever greater without meanings and anecdotes. The painting had to speak for itself. This thought became increasingly important after finishing at the artacademy, the Gerrit Rietveldacademie in Amsterdam. Texts were converted into lines, structure and rhythms of paint. To date René van den Bos has shown his paintings in galleries at home and abroad.
