ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Not sure this is minimal but I've included it in this portfolio because I like it and wonder if anyone else likes it. It takes its inspiration from topographical maps which, as an avid hiker, I have used extensively over the years. It too is a little playful but I also like the way space undulates across the page. This also is an image I plan to explore in a larger format.

I am an 84 year-old man living in Portland, Maine with my wife of 51 years on a wharf. So my days are accompanied by complaining seagulls and the sounds of a busy port. I love it. I taught art at the University of Connecticut for 27 years which includes spending 7 years as the Department's head.
