As a result of media influence, youngsters today have a vastly different approach to sex than generations past. It is no longer an act related to love, but rather one rooted in appearance, desire and lust. There is a strong pressure to experience all of its facets at a very early age. The body is no longer reserved for the private sphere, but rather casually shared on the Internet. This installation aims to address how minors show themselves off and examine others via different Internet outlets, following the pressent trends. This work explores when this influence begins and asks whether we are at ease with this phenomenon. Are You?

Born 1973 in Norway. Lives and work in Oslo. I work with sculpture, objects and installation. The inspiration often emanates from subject matter concerning politics and contemporary questions. I aim to comment and create an arena for reflections. Conceptual contemporary ceramic. My aim is to renew the esthetics of the ceramic sculpture, and its role in the contemporary art scene. Visually the goal is to make something I have never seen before, and the works often have a surrealistic expression. To explore and experiment with different materials and medias, is a central part of my artistic venue. The works often have a machine-made and mass-produced character to imitate a commercial aesthetic expression. Readymades and found objects are either uses as they are, or casted in porcelain. It can therefore be hard to determine what is casted and what is the original. A duality often used in my works to challenge our perception of reality.
