DR 3 - “carta d´artista” Installation - Limited Edition of 99

Edition of 99 pieces. (Each piece is hanged at the wall with a nail) DR is the abbreviation for “Double Reflection”. Reflection is used in the double sense of the word: on the one hand as a physical reflection of color through light and on the other hand as an intellectual reflection. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the concept of art has radically expanded. For example, Duchamp postulated that an object becomes a work of art when it is called art by the observer or artist. Piero Manzoni went a step further and postulated that art emerges in the mind of the beholder alone, culminating in his work "merda d'artista" (artists shit). "Carta d'artista" (artists paper) satirises this and poses the question of whether, without an art object, art actually only arises in the mind of the beholder by wiping away the shit. By the way, the provocative choice of materials raises the question: "Is this art?"
