ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Since ancient times Georgians had cultic trees. They worshiped threes, holy forests, stones, and peaks of the mountains. In Georgia, we have proven a source of two oldest stages in the tree worship tradition: Sacral tree and sacral forest. Lots of rituals are connected with trees and these rituals are diverse: mother pillar, three of life, wishing tree, holy forest, “Chichilaki”, thunder stricken walnut tree and etc.
