During the quarantine I read the story of the extraordinary lives of wonderful women perhaps still unknown to many.

All these women,
their lives,
they made us free, they gave us wings to fly high, to be everything we wanted.

Every woman is a feminist,
because no woman today would give up the freedoms and rights that perhaps they take for granted but have been hard won with the blood and sweat and the lives of these extraordinary women.
And these are just some of the many ....

The origami in the shape of birds are made with images of women, many women: artists of the past who were barred from entering the art world; queens, writers, scientists and musicians, architects, designers, stylists, political activists. Women who fought for voting and gender equality, who worked hard during wars, women who dreamed and then designed the Europe we know today. Mothers, peasants, workers.
All those who have fought to change history or simply to change their personal situation, but who have left an indelible mark on the history of humanity. They gave us wings to fly.
Together with them there are photos of women who have recently been victims of femicide in the East but also in the West, their death has not passed unnoticed, their death will not be forgotten, their sacrifice will not be in vain.
Without distinction, men and women can draw inspiration, strength and hope from the courage and passion of the lives of these women, who have always been the most disadvantaged category. Some names of the great women included and from which I drew inspiration:

Antonietta De Marchi studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and RUFA (Rome University on Fine Art). After his academic studies, the artist decides to undertake and trace the artistic experiences of the Renaissance masters, studying as a goldsmith. The Office of the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff has commissioned numerous works of art, and in particular: - the design and realization of three monumental metal amphorae, containing the holy oils and used annually by the Pontiff during the rites of Holy Week; - the design and realization of the Piscatorio Ring of Pope Francis, realized by direct commission of the Holy See and now museum in the Treasury of the Pontifical Sacristy in the Vatican. Recently, the artist, freely experiments the use of new sustainable materials for sculpture, recounting through his works the atavistic symbols of our culture, the memory, and the delicate bond that binds man to nature and the spirituality that belongs to him.
