God gave us the right to live - to be or not to be. God gave us the right to live. This art object is a philosophical reflection on the topic of life and death and the right to choose. In life, there are situations when we are one second from death. And this moment separates us from the familiar surroundings and the unknown beyond the eternity. Not every day, but there are situations when we or our relatives get into an accident or in intensive care, and at this moment we understand the value of life and what we do not decide to be or not to be. I divided the two phrases and cut them out with a laser on wood on two separate boards. On the black part of the composition the phrase: God gave us the right to live. The golden part is the famous phrase by Shakespeare: To be or not to be. I put both of them together in a single composition. At the same time, I tried to write words and phrases in that way so it would be difficult to read, twisting into a visually rhythmic composition. Because calligraffitti is not an advertising poster where the phrases are clearly readable, but an aesthetically meaningful composition of the message to the world. #VeraDG
